SOSL CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The most wonderful time of the year is fast approaching, and with it comes one of the most anticipated events on our musical calendar — the annual SOSL Christmas Concert!

This year’s programme, presented at the Ladies’ College Hall on December 13th & 14th and conducted by Nishantha Warnakulasuriya, promises to be truly unforgettable, blending beloved traditions with festive brilliance. Joining our orchestra are two renowned choirs, Souls Sounds & The Peterite Chorale, whose soaring harmonies will fill the hall with the spirit of the season. Together, they will perform cherished Christmas favourites O Holy Night, Mary, Did You Know? and stirring contemporary renditions of O Come, All Ye Faithful & O Little Town of Bethlehem.

Adding to the splendour of the evening, the orchestra will delight audiences with light classics such as Elgar’s rousing Pomp and Circumstance March No. 4 and Shostakovich’s charming Jazz Suite Waltz, while thrilling the young ones with Santa’s Epic Ride. And, of course, no Christmas concert would be complete without our popular audience sing-along — a joyful moment for everyone to raise their voices and share in the celebration.
