Educational Qualifications: A special degree in Engineering /Science / Environment / Agricultural Science/ Environment and Forest Science from a recognized university and a postgraduate degree in Engineering / Science / Agricultural Science / Environmental Science with not less than ten (10) years experience in executive grade in public service, provincial public service, semi government service or reputed private sector institution after obtaining the first degree Or

A general degree in the science subject and following the postgraduate degree in a recognized university in science subject and not less than 11 years experience in executive grade in public service, provincial public service, semi government service or reputed private sector institution.

Waste / Environment Management or knowledge in the relevant field and the knowledge in local government subject will be considered as an additional qualification.

Assistant Director (Engineering) Civil - Permanent basis

Educational Qualifications: Degree in Engineering (Civil) from recognized university and two (02) years experience in the relevant field 

Others:

1. Applicants recruited should contribute 10% of their basic salary to the Employees Provident Fund and the Authority would contribute 15% to the Employees Provident Fund and 3% to the Employees Trust Fund.

2. Applicants recruited should abide by the Establishment Code, Financial Regulations of the Western Provincial Council, instructions of the Western Provincial Public Services Commission and the instructions and regulations already imposed or imposed from time to time by the Government of Sri Lanka and the Western Provincial Council.

Method of Recruitment: Applicants will be subjected to an interview in front of an Interview Board convened by the Chairman of the Waste Management Authority. Applications that do not fulfill the qualifications, incomplete applications and late applications will be rejected and the receipt of applications or rejection of applications will not be acknowledged. (Preference would be given to applicants from residents within Western province).

Post applied for should be mentioned on the left hand top corner of the envelope containing the application.

Applicants who are already in public/provincial public service should direct their applications through their respective service heads and no allowances will be paid for attending the interview. Any form of influencing or canvassing will be considered as a disqualification.
