Beating the heat these days is not easy. While a chilled drink can easily beat the heat, many of these drinks are piled with sugar and artificial sweeteners and not healthy to consume in larger quantities.
And yogurt ( or yoghurt depending on how you spell it)... however, considered a healthy option because it is rich in nutrients, low in sugar, and generally beneficial for health.
Yogurt is made by fermenting milk with yogurt culture. Health benefits can include promoting bone health and aiding digestion. Some yogurts contain active, living bacteria known as probiotics, which can help keep the intestines healthy.
Yogurts contain different vitamins and minerals and the amounts depend on the type. Natural yogurt can be a low-calorie, high-nutrient food packed with protein.
All yogurts contain some natural sugars, but consumers are advised to look for a product with less than 15 grams of sugar per serving. The lower the sugar, the better, as long as it does not contain any artificial sweeteners.
Drinkable yogurt is a dairy beverage produced in a very similar fashion to traditional yogurt. They are available in many fruity flavors and often come with low-fat and sugar- free options, they have risen in popularity among both younger and older generations.
Many of the Sri Lankan yoghurt brands are trusted through generations, and we sure can agree that the taste is definitely with us through our childhood and into our adulthood as well.
